Our Story
Cal Sierra started out as a local trucking operation determined to provide exceptional freight services for California and Northern Nevada. Founded in 1989 in Reno, Nevada, with six employees and three trucks, we quickly built a loyal client base eager for a reliable partner to handle their logistics needs.
Recognizing growing demand, we soon expanded into multiple West Coast cities, offering LTL, FTL, and specialized transport backed by our robust line haul network. Over 30 years later, we’ve evolved into a regional powerhouse with more than 200 employees and over 90 trucks, connecting businesses across California and Northern Nevada. Along the way, we became TSA-approved and Hazmat-certified, investing in cutting-edge technology like FreightSnap’s FS 5000 Dimensioner. These advancements allow us to handle sensitive materials, streamline operations, and ensure precise measurements for every cargo.
